Two days ago, on August 7, a few minutes after seven in the morning Polish time, from the Kennedy launched a Falcon 9 rocket, topped by another batch of Starlink satellites.
This time, as part of the Starlink-10 mission, 57 Starlink satellites and 2 satellites from BlackSky Global flew into orbit. All the satellites of the Starlink mega-constellation that went into orbit during this mission are equipped with a sunshield to minimize the amount of light reflected by the satellites towards the Earth.
Starlinek train – when to watch
Tonight Starlink satellites were visible high in the sky at 2:29 am. The sensational flight of the entire satellite train was recorded by Zbyszek, one of our readers who runs the nocneniebo.pl portal. See the rest for yourself.
If you haven’t had the chance to observe this flyby, there’s nothing to worry about. There will be a few more train spotting opportunities over the next few nights.
Sunday / Monday: 1:34 am and 3:10 am
The first flight will be relatively short and only 10-15 degrees above the horizon. During the second flyby, however, the entire train of satellites will be visible high in the sky, near the zenith (map below).
